What Was Vanced Manager?
The Manager was an Android app built by Team Vanced. It acted as the hub for the whole ecosystem: rather than downloading several APK files by hand, users opened one app to
- Install YouTube Vanced in its non-root or root variant
- Install Vanced MicroG for Google account login
- Install YouTube Music Vanced
- Check for and apply updates across every installed component
- Pick a theme (dark, black, or light) before installation
- Set the language for the main app
How the Manager Worked
The Manager connected to Team Vanced's servers and pulled down prebuilt, modified APK files. Installation went like this:
- Download the Manager APK from the official site
- Open it and tap "Install" next to MicroG
- Wait for MicroG to download and install
- Tap "Install" next to YouTube Vanced
- Pick your theme and language
- Wait for the download and installation to finish
This was simpler than ReVanced Manager because users never supplied a YouTube APK or picked patches. Team Vanced preconfigured everything.
Why It Was Discontinued
In March 2022, Google sent Team Vanced a cease-and-desist letter citing violations of YouTube's Terms of Service and trademark infringement. The team complied and shut everything down:

- All download servers and API endpoints
- The vancedapp.com website
- All social media channels
The app can no longer reach its servers as a result. Even if you still have it installed, it cannot download or update anything.
