What Are ReVanced Patches?
Patches are modular modifications applied during the patching process. Unlike Vanced, which bundled all modifications into a single app, ReVanced allows users to select which patches they want to include.

How Patches Work
When using ReVanced Manager, the patching process:
- Takes a base app APK (e.g., YouTube) as input
- Applies selected patches to modify the app's behavior
- Outputs a patched APK that can be installed
Patches are version-specific — they are designed for particular base app versions. Using an unsupported version is the most common cause of patch failures.
ReVanced Supported Versions
ReVanced patches require specific base app versions. The supported version changes as the ReVanced team updates patches. To find the current supported version:
- Open ReVanced Manager
- Tap "Patcher" → "Select an application"
- The Manager will display the recommended version for each app
- Download that exact version from a trusted source like APKMirror
Important: Using a version other than the recommended one will likely cause patch failures or playback errors. Always check the Manager for the latest supported version.
Patch Updates
The ReVanced team regularly updates patches to maintain compatibility with new app versions and to add features. Manager handles patch updates automatically.
