How Patches Work
When ReVanced Manager runs a patch job, it:
- Takes a base app APK, such as YouTube, as input
- Applies your selected patches to change the app's behavior
- Produces a patched APK ready to install
Each patch targets particular base app versions. Running an unsupported version is the most common reason patching fails.
ReVanced Supported Versions
ReVanced patches expect specific base app versions, and the supported version moves whenever the team updates the patches. To find the current one:
- Open ReVanced Manager
- Tap "Patcher" → "Select an application"
- The Manager displays the recommended version for each app
- Download that exact version from a trusted source like APKMirror
Important: Any version other than the recommended one will likely cause patch failures or playback errors, so check the Manager before downloading anything.
Patch Updates
The team updates patches as app versions change and as new features land. The Manager picks up patch updates on its own.
