Key differences
- Each app is locked to its platform. ReVanced runs only on Android, uYou+ only on iOS, and neither works across both.
- Installation differs completely: ReVanced patches an APK through its Manager, while uYou+ is sideloaded through AltStore, TrollStore, or a jailbreak.
- uYou+ has a built-in video downloader. ReVanced does not include one.
- ReVanced lets you pick individual patches during setup. uYou+ arrives as a preconfigured tweak with fixed features.
- Sideloaded iOS apps run into certificate expiry (AltStore requires re-signing every 7 days). Android has no equivalent problem.
Which should you choose?
- On Android, ReVanced is the more mature project and the obvious pick.
- On iOS, uYou+ is the best available option, though keeping it running takes work: certificate management, possibly a jailbreak.
- If you move between platforms, your subscriptions and watch history follow your Google account either way, so nothing is lost in the switch.
