Our Standards
VancedApp is committed to providing accurate, neutral, and helpful content about YouTube Vanced, ReVanced, Android video app alternatives, and related topics. Our editorial standards include:
- Accuracy: All factual claims are verified against known sources and project documentation
- Neutrality: We present information without favoring any particular app, project, or approach
- Transparency: We clearly state our independence and non-affiliation with any project we cover
- Safety-awareness: We prioritize user safety by highlighting risks, verification steps, and legitimate sources
- Freshness: Pages include "last updated" dates and are reviewed regularly
Who Writes and Reviews
Pages are produced and reviewed by the VancedApp editorial team. We publish institutionally rather than under individual bylines, and we do not attach invented credentials, job titles, or biographies to our work. What can be judged is the content itself: whether the sources are primary, whether the claims are checkable, and whether the page admits when something is unknown.
Sourcing Rules
A project's own repository, documentation, and release notes are authoritative for what its software does and where it is published. Community discussion is used to understand what problems people meet in practice, not as evidence for a factual claim; anything found only in forum posts is either confirmed against a primary source or written with its uncertainty stated.
Specifics are held to a higher bar than general description. Version numbers, dates, prices, and figures appear only when they come from the project or vendor concerned. Where a detail cannot be confirmed, the page states the general case instead, because a confident invented number does more damage than an honest gap.
Content Review Process
All content goes through an editorial review before publication. This includes checking for accuracy, compliance with our independence guidelines, and ensuring no misleading claims are made. Review also covers the status classification for every app mentioned, since describing a discontinued project in the present tense is the most common way pages in this subject area mislead people.
Our review process page sets out how apps are evaluated, and our safety methodology covers how sources are assessed.
Download and External Links
For maintained software, links point only to the maintainer's own channel: GitHub releases, F-Droid, or an official website. Mirrors and APK aggregators are not linked. YouTube Vanced is the exception, because it has no official source left; those links point to a community-maintained archive of the final release, alongside a clear statement that the app is unmaintained and that any file should be verified before installing. We do not scan, sign, or certify files, and no page here should be read as clearing one.
Updates and Corrections
Every page carries a last-updated date. Status-sensitive pages are revisited when a project's situation actually changes rather than on a fixed schedule, because refreshing a date without changing the substance is a way of misleading readers about how current a page is. Significant factual corrections are noted on the affected page, as set out in the corrections policy below.
What We Will Never Do
- Claim to be an official source for any project
- Host or distribute modified APK files
- Use "free YouTube Premium" or similar misleading language
- Present discontinued projects as currently active
- Fabricate version numbers or update dates
- Use fake ratings or endorsements
- Invent staff names, credentials, awards, or testing we did not perform
- Let a project we cover sponsor, approve, or review its own coverage
Independence and Conflicts of Interest
VancedApp is not affiliated with YouTube, Google, Team Vanced, or ReVanced, and it does not develop or maintain any application it writes about. No project covered here has been given review, approval, or advance sight of the content about it, and none sponsors that content.
Corrections
If you find an error in our content, please see our corrections policy for how to report it. Reports of factual errors are welcome regardless of how small, and the ones that name a specific page and explain what is wrong get resolved fastest.
